MARCH, 1983

Ronald Reagan is President.

The Ford Escort is the best selling car.

Home sales are up 88% in Oakland County.

The hot doll is Cabbage Patch.

Downtown Royal Oak is a sleepy unknown.
…and Ladybug Craft Shoppe opened its doors on March 10th. The original shoppe was located at 519 S. Washington. The Ladybug sold supplies for basketweaving, counted cross-stitch, and candlewicking. (do you remember candlewicking?)

Downtown Royal Oak and Ladybug has changed a lot in 25 years. Who would believe downtown would have an 18 story building?

Ladybug Shoppe is now located around the corner from the original location, on Sixth Street. Stop by and take a look! And check out the Ladybug Scrapbook.
